This is the album that I made before You Should Be Happy. I decided to make it a download only release because I didn’t really have the time or money to physically release it on CD or vinyl. I made it available on my site then and now here it is once more. Enjoy.

Last month I got to play a show at my own house…Kim and I host a monthly house show with bands/songwriters who are asked to play without amps, PA or full drumkit; It was Kim’s idea and I think it’s been really successful. We’ve had lots of great bands play and a few that were challenged to perform in a more quiet setting but made great use of it. We invite friends, family and fans of music who enjoy listening as the focus of a music event. Anyway, I was asked to play and I opened the show with a short set. I did some new songs as well as a Hayden and a Mt. Eerie cover. It’s available here:

Some of you may know…I’ve recorded many Elliott Smith covers…it’s something I enjoy in between writing and recording my own songs. Some people don’t quite understand why people record versions of other songwriters songs…for me, it’s an escape from my own stuff and it helps me find other ways of doing things…to get away from my normal patterns and routine. Elliott Smith was such an important songwriter to me…working on his songs is always interesting to me. I especially like to figure out his unreleased and/or unfinished songs and explore them further. I made the artwork by hand and just burned copies of the EP. I probably gave away way more than I sold. Anyway, here it is again for you to download:
